Our Team
mrs. Bansari Hanna
Founder & Artistic Director
Bansari Hanna is a Bharatanatyam artist, educator, and founder and artistic director of Shree Academy of Arts in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Her training is rooted in the Kalakshetra tradition under Dr. Anita Vallabh, and Smt. Anusha Natarajan within an artistic lineage extending from the renowned Dhananjayans.

Since founding Shree Academy in 2007, Bansari has developed dancers across ages through rigorous training in Bharatanatyam and Indian folk dance. Her teaching includes a strong adult program and emphasizes technical strength, artistry, discipline, expressive depth, and thoughtful interpretation while supporting each student’s growth as an individual artist.

Her artistic work extends beyond the classroom through productions, performance, mentorship, and collaboration. Her productions include Maargam, Natya Yagna, and Adi Kavi Narsinh Mehta, integrating dance, music, and storytelling for students and broader audiences. She also collaborates with artists and educators across disciplines to advance and expand the reach of Indian classical and cultural arts.

Dr. Anita Vallabh
Senior Teacher and Collaborator
Dr. Anita Vallabh is a senior collaborator and teacher at Shree Academy Of Arts.

With her training under the Dhananjayans at Bharata Kalanjali, Dr. Vallabh has been recognized nationally and internationally through various awards.
​
Her experience as a performer, teacher, writer and choreographer of thirty eight years has been a source of constant support, growth and creative inspiration.
